Kroger, the largest us supermarket operator, has formed a partnership with China's alibaba to sell nuts, health supplements and other products in the country, foreign media reported. It was kroger's first venture outside the us. Kroger recently said it plans to open an online store on the website of Tmall Global, alibaba's international brand sales platform. Kroger's partnership with alibaba makes it harder for wal-mart to compete against it, which, along with its Chinese partner jd.com, is battling alibaba for dominance in China.
